Background
Bachelor of Arts, with Honours, in Psychology from the Punjab University, Chandigarh,India. Prerna completed her LL.B. from the Delhi University in the year 1992.
Experience
She is an analytical lawyer with interests in infrastructure law, right to information and competition issues. Background in matters of litigation, regulatory issues and policy matters.
Prerna has researched Indian and international law on issues pertaining to Arbitration and Alternate Dispute Resolution mechanisms. Had the benefit of assisting some of most respected legal luminaries of the Country in some of the most important cases.
Served the interest of Regulatory Commissions with the framing of various Regulations envisaged under the Electricity Act 2003. Worked extensively on the Regulatory Compendium for South Asia, a World Bank Project, that required a thorough analysis, summarization and compilation of all Orders on regulatory issues by Regulatory Commissions and Courts of Law. Provided assistance to various areas within the Regulatory and Governance Division regarding legal issues pertaining to projects particularly relating to regulatory studies. Provided legal counsel for the preparation of a draft Bill for the Delhi Road Transport Regulatory Commission.
Co-authored several papers on wide ranging issues – such as, Reforms in Public Transport Provisioning, The Right to Information, Regulatory Relationships, and Regulatory Interface with Judiciary.
With law emerging as a growing area of interest, Prerna is actively involved in multitasking with the legal plus human resources issues within ZEUS for meaningful functioning of individuals belonging to diverse backgrounds. The emphasis here is on planning a systematic integration of ZEUS values and mission with the entire team for an effective outcome. Her responsibility also entails designing strategies regarding placement, recruitment, promotion, motivation and goal oriented procedures.
